пригласил меня поучаствовать в выставке, посвященной
еврейскому чувству юмора. 8-го мая выставка
открылась и будет работать до 19-го июля.
Вот как организаторы описывают идею этой экспозиции

"Еврейская жизнь — это не прогулка, но и не табу.
После 7 октября 2023 года антисемитизм, страх и
поляризация вновь стали частью повседневности.
В этой ситуации становится ясно: юмор не является
чем-то автоматически освобождающим. Это не предмет
роскоши, а внутренний компас. Он показывает, где болит —
и где, несмотря на угрозу, всё ещё остаётся место для
человечности. Он может утешать, но может провоцировать
и будоражить.
На выставке «Неужели евреям больше не до смеха?»
еврейские и нееврейские художники показывают,
как карикатуры и комиксы действуют в этом поле
напряжения: между горькой иронией, чёрным юмором
и задумчивой лёгкостью возникает образ еврейской жизни,
который не идеализирован, но и не проникнут отчаянием.
Такие вопросы, как «Кого сегодня снова можно сделать
мишенью для чужих страхов и предрассудков?»,
«Можно ли [будучи правым экстремистом] сейчас ещё
поджигать синагоги или это уже считается пропалестинским?»
или «Почему мы никогда не сосредотачиваемся на том, что
нас объединяет — например, на фалафеле?» заставляют
по-новому взглянуть на повседневную жизнь, идентичность,
страх и надежду и показывают, что юмор — это не нечто
легкомысленное, а форма сопротивления и проявление
человечности.
Выставка разделена на три части. В первой рассматриваются
еврейская жизнь, её обычаи и традиции, а также повседневность,
отмеченная стигматизацией. Вторая часть обращает взгляд на
антисемитизм в Германии — на угрозы, предрассудки и
дискриминацию.
Третья часть объединяет различные точки зрения на Ближний
Восток и один из самых сложных конфликтов новейшей истории;
всех их объединяет одно: желание, чтобы разрушения и страдания
мирного населения со всех вовлечённых сторон наконец
прекратились.
Выставка создана в сотрудничестве с Центром еврейской жизни
имени Сары Нуссбаум и проводится при поддержке Гессенского
культурного фонда."

"Jewish life is no walk in the park — but neither is it a taboo. Since October 7, 2023, antisemitism, fear, and polarization have once again become part of everyday life. In this situation, one thing becomes clear: humor is not automatically liberating. It is not a luxury, but an inner compass. It shows where something hurts — and where, despite the threats, there is still room for humanity. It can offer comfort, but it can also provoke and shake people awake.
In the exhibition “Do Jews Have Nothing to Laugh About?”, Jewish and non-Jewish artists demonstrate how cartoons operate within this tension: somewhere between bitter irony, dark humor, and reflective lightness, an image of Jewish life emerges that is neither romanticized nor shaped by resignation. Questions such as “For whom am I allowed to serve as a projection screen today?”, “As a right-wing extremist, are you still allowed to set synagogues on fire now, or would that be considered pro-Palestinian?” or “How is it that we never focus on the things that unite us — like falafel?” open perspectives on everyday life, identity, fear, and hope, showing that humor is not a sign of frivolity, but an expression of resistance and humanity.
The exhibition is divided into three sections. The opening section highlights Jewish life, its customs and traditions, but also a daily reality marked by stigmatization. The second section focuses on antisemitism in Germany — on threats, prejudice, and discrimination. The third section brings together different perspectives on the Middle East and one of the most complex conflicts of recent history, united by a common wish: that the destruction and suffering of civilians on all sides involved may finally come to an end.
The exhibition was created in cooperation with the Sara Nussbaum Center for Jewish Life and is supported by the Hessian Cultural Foundation."

"Jüdisches Leben ist kein Spaziergang – aber auch kein Tabu. Seit dem 7. Oktober 2023 sind Antisemitismus, Angst und Polarisierung wieder Alltag. In dieser Situation wird klar: Humor ist nicht automatisch befreiend. Er ist kein Luxus, sondern ein innerer Kompass. Er zeigt, wo etwas weh tut – und wo trotz Bedrohung noch Raum fürs Menschsein bleibt. Er kann trösten, aber auch provozieren und aufrütteln.
In der Ausstellung »Haben Juden nichts zu lachen?« zeigen jüdische und nicht-jüdische Künstler:innen, wie Cartoons in diesem Spannungsfeld wirken: Zwischen bitterer Ironie, schwarzem Witz und nachdenklicher Leichtigkeit entsteht ein Bild jüdischen Lebens, das weder verklärt noch von Resignation geprägt ist. Fragen wie »Für wen darf ich heute die Projektionsfläche sein?«, »Darf man [als Rechtsextremist] jetzt noch Synagogen anzünden oder ist das dann pro-palästinensisch?« oder »Wie kommt es, dass wir uns nie auf die Dinge konzentrieren, die uns verbinden – wie Falafel?« eröffnen Perspektiven auf Alltag, Identität, Angst und Hoffnung und zeigen: Humor ist auch kein Zeichen von Leichtfertigkeit, sondern ein Ausdruck von Widerstand und Menschlichkeit.
Gegliedert ist die Ausstellung in drei Bereiche: Eingangs werden jüdisches Leben, seine Bräuche und Traditionen beleuchtet, aber auch ein Alltag, der durch Stigmatisierung geprägt ist. Der zweite Bereich richtet den Blick auf Antisemitismus in Deutschland – auf Bedrohung, Vorurteile und Diskriminierung. Bereich drei versammelt unterschiedliche Blickwinkel auf Nahost und einen der komplexesten Konflikte der neueren Geschichte, die eines eint: Der Wunsch, dass die Zerstörung und das Leid der Zivilbevölkerung auf allen beteiligten Seiten ein Ende haben mögen.
Die Ausstellung entstand in Kooperation mit dem Sara Nussbaum Zentrum für jüdisches Leben und wird gefördert von der Hessischen Kulturstiftung."
