The Asian Youth Animation & Comics Contest 2009 open to all cartoonists who live in pacific country, including Asia(cover Turkey and Cyprus), South America, North America, Central America, Oceania(cover Madagascar), and Commonwealth of Independent States(including Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, etc).
The contest will spread out all over the world next year.

Every winner will be invited to appear the official ceremony and festival in Guiyang city on Augest, 9, China, the committee will pay all charge including flight and hotel, food and others, i would like to meet colleagues in Guiyang city!

The Brief of The Asian Youth Animation & Comics Contest 2009
1)Theme: Happy Cartoon Creative Guiyang (All humor cartoons, Free theme)
2) Format: The format should be“.JPG” in a minimum size of 300 dpi, original and prints will not be acceppted, only digital works will be acceppted.
3) Deadline: July,1,2009.
4) Please send your full name, address, telephone number and email with works together.
5) Entry form: not obligatory, each artist only need to fill out one entry form whether the works's quantity.
6) Any works can submit to contest, including the winning works on other contests or exhibitions.
7) The contest committee have right to use works for spreading contest and festival on media.
8 ) Awarding Ceremony:
The Awarding Ceremony will be held on August 9, 2009, in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China.
9) The committee of the Contest will issue the prizes and certificates, also committee will publish the album of contest, every artist whose works be selected for exhibition will get a free copy.
10) Awards and Prizes:
☆. Grand Prize (1) for animation or cartoon and comic strip---18,000 RMB
☆. Best Production (2) animation works and 2 still image works(cartoon and comic strip)---10,000 RMB/ each
1. Best Screenplay (1) for animation---4,000 RMB
2. Best Director (2) for animation--- 2,500 RMB/ each
3. Most Innovative Design (1) animated work and 1 still image work(cartoon and comic strip)---3,000 RMB/ each
4. Best Original Score (1)for animation or cartoon and comic strip--- 2,000 RMB
5. Best Visual Effects (1) animated work and 1 still image work(cartoon and comic strip)---2,500 RMB/ each
6. Best Character Image (2) animated works and 2 still image works(cartoon and comic strip) ---2,000 RMB/ each
7. Best Student Work (5) animated works and 5 still image works(cartoon and comic strip) ---1,000 RMB/ each
8. Best Technical Innovation and Application for animation
9. Science Animation Award for animation---4.000 RMB
10. Special Jury Prize for for animation and cartoon and comic strip
