The winners will be announced at our annual lunch at the Château Laurier in Ottawa on April 30th.

WINNERS OF THE 15TH INTERNATIONAL CARTOON CONTEST

This year’s cartoon contest theme — “Press Freedom has a value, but also a price” drew 365 submissions from 43 countries around the world.


The first prize winner Signe Wilkinson of the USA will receive a prize of $1,500 and a certificate from the Canadian Commission for UNESCO (CCUNESCO).


The second prize winner, Miguel Villalba Sánchez of Spain, will be awarded $750.


The third prize award of $500 goes to Ebrahim Ghanei of Iran.
